US Free Templates

USEFUL STARTING POINTS. CLEAR LIMITS.

Good paperwork starts with good details.

US Free Templates helps people in the United States organize everyday documents without an account or a payment wall.

Built around the document’s actual purpose

A template should do more than change the title on a generic form. Each editor is organized around its particular transaction or record: identification and delivery for a sale, scope and changes for a service contract, consent boundaries for an authorization, or facts and review questions for a planning worksheet.

The library includes blank and completed PDF and Word downloads, a live content preview, optional provisions, custom notes, useful calculations, and preparation checklists. A 10-second countdown appears before each download.

Research comes with sources and a scope

State guidance uses linked government statutes, agency instructions, courts, and other primary official resources. The research recorded for this edition was checked on October 5, 2026. Vehicle-transfer and residential-rental resources cover all 50 states and DC; detailed rule coverage varies by jurisdiction and document. Estate resources distinguish specific researched provisions from resource-only coverage. Employment guidance has separate federal and selected-state notes.

We describe which templates a rule applies to and separate residential rentals, commercial arrangements, vehicle transfers, and other asset types. Required official forms are linked, not automatically bundled or recreated. State-specific notes are preparation guidance and appear in a separate reference appendix, not as automatically validated contract terms.

We do not manufacture professional approval

We do not claim that an attorney, accountant, medical professional, or public agency has approved these templates. We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, customer counts, or claims that every document is enforceable. High-stakes estate, deed, court, medical, and other instruments are clearly labeled as drafts, outlines, or preparation worksheets where appropriate.

A completed editor is not a legal opinion or a certification. Check current law, local exceptions, recipient requirements, attachments, and execution procedures with the appropriate professional before relying on a document.

Your draft stays in your browser

The editor does not upload your entries or automatically save drafts. Files are generated in the browser. Refreshing or closing the page clears the draft, so download a copy before leaving. Word files provide a way to continue editing offline.

Payment-related tools use last-four identifiers and secure-processor references. They are consent records, not payment processors, and do not establish security certification or authorize collection of prohibited authentication data.

A clear way to review the work

Every template page lists included fields, completion tips, limitations, and official resources. State pages provide a broader resource directory with coverage notes. Start with the guide for your document, then open the source that supports the specific requirement you need to check.

Sources and requirements can change. Before signing, filing, charging, transferring, or serving a notice, confirm the current official instructions and required document edition.
