Paperwork in North Dakota.
Find the official resources behind the preparation notes. Use the exact document-specific requirements and current agency forms; a general template does not replace required filing, signing, notice, or transfer procedures.
Vehicle transfers & bills of sale
North Dakota’s vehicle checklist separates title assignment, secure odometer disclosure, and age-based damage disclosure.
Coverage: Motor vehicles in the documented guidance. Boat, trailer, firearm, and other asset rules require their own review.
Provide the original ownership evidence
Bring a properly completed title or manufacturer’s origin document and any required lien release. Avoid write-overs, cross-outs, mutilation, and white-out; a separate sale record does not cure those defects.
Document scope: Vehicle Bill of Sale, Motorcycle Bill of Sale, RV & Camper Bill of Sale

NDDOT lists secure odometer disclosure for 2011-and-newer vehicles and seller-completed SFN 18609 damage disclosure for vehicles less than nine model years old. A dealer purchase also requires the dealer bill of sale.

Use the AG’s tenant-rights overview and current code for deposits, animal accommodations, and notice.
Coverage: Residential rental research. Commercial, farm, hunting, equipment, and vehicle leases are separate subjects.
Keep assistance-animal charges distinct from pet charges
The Attorney General’s tenant resource discusses deposits and says a service animal cannot be charged a pet deposit. Review federal assistance-animal accommodation rules as well, because those cover more than the ordinary pet classification. Record only necessary accommodation information and use the current code for tenancy and deposit deadlines.
