Paperwork in Rhode Island.
Find the official resources behind the preparation notes. Use the exact document-specific requirements and current agency forms; a general template does not replace required filing, signing, notice, or transfer procedures.
Vehicle transfers & bills of sale
Rhode Island now titles older vehicles in many situations. Do not use a blanket pre-2001 title-exemption claim.
Coverage: Motor vehicles in the documented guidance. Boat, trailer, firearm, and other asset rules require their own review.
Check title history as well as model year
The current registration guidance says a title is required unless the vehicle is older than model year 2001 and comes from a jurisdiction that does not require a title for it. Check the newer Rhode Island titling rules for previously registered older vehicles.
Document scope: Vehicle Bill of Sale, Motorcycle Bill of Sale, RV & Camper Bill of Sale

Use the state’s updated landlord–tenant handbook and its linked current requirements.
Coverage: Residential rental research. Commercial, farm, hunting, equipment, and vehicle leases are separate subjects.
Check the residential law and housing-specific obligations
The Executive Office of Housing publishes an updated handbook describing the residential landlord–tenant framework. Review lease disclosures, deposits, repairs, lead issues, and termination; identify rental category and municipality. Verify later amendments before copying a handbook number into an operative lease clause.
